The ECHO Study compares three reversible methods of contraception, the progestogen-only contraceptive depot medroxyprogesterone acetate (DMPA), the Jadelle sub-dermal implant and the copper intrauterine device (IUD), to evaluate whether there is any difference in the risk of acquiring HIV infection among users of these methods.
